Reasonably new (and 1 still available) and old retirement units in town should you wish to have relatives close-by (run by the Shire).

The Great Southern Region of WA is popular for its wildflowers and scenery like The Stirling Ranges (Bluff Knoll usually has some snow in the winter) and The Porongurup's (ranges) with their wine growing, bush walking. Whale watching in Albany. The area is known for its sheep, grains, canola and in Spring looks a treat with its vibrant yellows and greens before summer harvests. Places like Denmark, Esperance, Bunbury (3 hrs) , Margaret River, Nannup, Manjimup Mt Barker (40 mins) and Albany (1 1/2 hrs) are all reasonably closeby. 3-4 hrs to Perth. Regional WA is showcased with Field Days, Agricultural Shows, art, food, wine and music and garden festivals. Plenty to see and do.
Tambellup (known as The Town of Friendship) really IS a friendly town with a great CRC - Community Resource Centre/library. Many functions originate from there so always something to do eg Seniors lunches, school holiday activities/movies, Simulcast 'Opera in the Park' - live from Perth, visiting authors, pop up markets and much more :)
Primary school at the other end of town and high school in nearby Katanning (a very multi-cultural town where a new Dome is under constr.). There is a working hotel (For Sale), functioning general store/lotto agent (also For Sale), Bendigo Bank, PO/cafe, Landmark, Business Centre, small service station, Police station, Shire office and various other services. We also have a health centre (daily attended by nurse) with regular visiting GP and a nurse practitioner. There is an active CWA, new Sporting Complex, new restaurant. There is a golf course/club and various other sporting clubs. Genuine reason for selling - health and family. Sorry not able to rent while selling. Will consider all reasonable offers. Moving date will depend on settlement date basically. We would like to move asap.
